    Watchdog launches website

    In a belated yet constructive move to improve public information about regulation of the accountancy profession, the UK's new watchdog today launched its website.

    The site explains the functions and structure of each of the Accountancy Foundation’s four bodies, the Review Board, the Auditing Practices Board, the Ethics Board, and the Investigation and Discipline Board.

    Visitors will be able download the regulator’s publications, including the Review Board’s recent report Protecting the Public Interest.

    Chris Wobschall, secretary to the Foundation, said: ‘We intend that the website will not only be a useful source of information for all those interested in the regulation of the accountancy profession, but will also ensure desirable transparency for an organisation designed to protect the public interest.’
