Planned changes to increase the power of the taxman to investigate serious tax fraud have been outlined in an Inland Revenue consultation document. The Finance Bill, currently passing through parliament, contains provisions to modernise the criminal investigation of suspected serious tax fraud. The deadline for comments is 31 July.
