PwC man to shop at Harrods
Knightsbridge department store Harrods has selected a PricewaterhouseCoopers veteran to take over the managing of its finances
Steve Davie, 48, has been at PwC for 25 years and takes over from William Najdecki, who quit to pursue other business interests in the United States.
He will assume the role of finance director in September.
Harrods has been hit with a spate of executive departures in recent times, while its former auditor, PwC, resigned at the beginning of the year, to be replaced by mid-tier firm Grant Thornton.
Latest available figures show that Harrods’ profits tumbled from £38.9m in 1999 to £20.2m in 2000.
