ICAEW elects corporate finance chief
The ICAEW has elected the managing partner of Grant Thornton's corporate finance arm as chairman of its' corporate finance faculty
Ian Smart of Grant Thornton has been elected as chairman of the corporate
finance faculty at the ICAEW.
Smart, who takes over from Chris Ward, is currently the head of corporate
finance at Grant Thornton.
Vera Sabeva, head of the corporate finance faculty, said: ‘We are delighted
that Ian has become chairman of the faculty. With his 20 years experience in
corporate finance and assurance at Grant Thornton and his work with both public
and private companies he brings a wealth of knowledge to the role.’
Commenting on his election Smart said: ‘I am delighted to have been appointed
chairman of the corporate finance faculty and look forward to building on the
fantastic progress achieved by my predecessors.’
