HBOS finance chief rejoins KPMG
Andrew Smith to head up financial risk management practice
KPMG has secured a major recruitment coup by bringing Andrew Smith, chief
financial and operational risk officer at HBOS, back on board.
Smith has re-joined KPMG as managing director of the firm’s financial risk
management practice.
He headed up KPMG’s financial services risk practice for four years during
the 1990s.
His new role will see him developing the technical content for the financial
risk management practice and helping to expand the team throughout the UK to 100
people over the next three years.
At HBOS he was responsible for the group’s overall approach to risk in all
areas outside compliance and internal audit.
