PBR: Child Trust Fund to be extended

The government's new Child Trust Fund looks set to be extended after the chancellor announced a consultation today.

In addition to the £250 and £500 that the government deposits for the children of poor families, the chancellor is proposing to deposit the same again when the child reaches the age of seven.

Consultation has been launched today.
