New FDs for GAME Group and Barratt Development

GAME Group's FD moves to Barratt; GAME promotes head of reporting and IR into the top finance role

David Thomas will take over as group FD of Barratt Development from 3 August.

Thomas takes over as FD from Mark Pain, who will leave later in the year
after a short handover period.

Thomas is currently group FD and deputy chief executive of GAME Group, the
computer games retailer.

He was group FD at Millennium and Copthorne Hotels. Prior to this, he held
senior financial roles with House of Fraser and Forte.

In turn, GAME has promoted Ben White, its group reporting and investor
relations director in to take over from Thomas.

White held senior financial roles at Serco, HIT Entertainment and Kingfisher.

He qualified as an accountant at Deloitte. ‘Ben’s comprehensive knowledge and
understanding of our business will be of great value to the board,’ said GAME
chief executive Lisa Morgan.
