Gorham joins the firm as a specialist partner within the regulatory team focusing on FSA compliance whilst Shepley has been appointed as actuarial practice leader.

Both appointments take place with immediate effect and support Grant Thornton’s expansion strategy for its Financial Markets Group, a combination of regulatory, restructuring and risk management teams.

Gorham ran the regulatory practice in the South West for Deloitte & Touche, from where he joins Grant Thornton. Shepley was a director of CGU’s UK non-life business, being involved in the creation of CGU from the merger of Commercial Union and General Accident.
