Casey to chair City finance firm

Gavin Casey, the chartered accountant and former chief executive of the London Stock Exchange, has become chairman of corporate finance advisory firm, Corporate Synergy.

Casey quit the LSE in June 2001 along with a £1m payout and since then has been chief operating officer of Smith New Court, the City-based securities house.

Corporate Synergy advises small cap quoted and unquoted companies and is a subsidiary of AIM-listed Abingdon Capital plc, which specialises in investment in small quoted and unquoted companies.
