Letters – Incident of shame.

Perhaps Jamie Crampton (letters, page 21, 22 February) is using the recruitment agency in Bristol which I approached some years ago.

Having spent a number of years as a chief accountant, the opening question after reading my CV was: ‘And do you have any bookkeeping experience?’ I was inclined to reply: ‘And do you have any experience of accountancy recruitment?’ To my everlasting shame I simply bit my tongue and left.

Cliff Redman, West Sussex.
