Company directors at Manchester-based builders merchant Ensor were forced last week by the Financial Reporting Review Panel to restate full-year results following an investigation of misrepresentation in its accounts. FD Marcus Chadwick and colleagues had presented a transfer of reserves within the statement of total recognised gains for the year ending 31 March and reentered the losses in the notes to the financial statements.
