The mail bomb that exploded at
Vantis this week was the sixth
letter bomb sent to companies that have links to speed cameras.
Three bombs were sent last month to laboratories providing forensic-science
services to the government, and on Monday another went off at congestion
collection compay Capita. It is feared by police that the devices were created
by a driver with a grudge.
Yesterday’s letter was addressed to speed camera boss, Paul Davey, the
managing director of Speed Check Services, who uses the Wokingham, Berkshire
address of his accountants, Vantis.
The two workers injured yesterday, both in their 30s, suffered minor blast
wounds to their hands and upper bodies.
Scotland Yard’s Counter Terrorism Command and Thames Valley Police are
working together on the two attacks.
