Simonds takes Peacock chair
Value-clothing retail group Peacock has appointed qualified-accountant, Gavin Simonds, to the position of non-executive chairman.

Simonds, who has a strong background in corporate finance, including almost five years as director of Kleinwort Benson, replaces acting chairman, Keith Roberts.
Roberts will return to his role as a non-exective director after stepping into the breach following the resignation of John Lovering in February.
‘I am very pleased Gavin is joining the team,’ said Peacock Group chief executive Richard Kirk. ‘I am confident his enormous experience and complementary skills will make an important contribution to the group’s future success.’
