BUDGET 2002: Online cash boost for SMEs

Gordon Brown is to give small businesses a cash boost in an effort to encourage them to trade online and make the UK the most competitive place for ebusiness.

The Chancellor said that firms will get £40m in the first year and £110m in subsequent years to alleviate the costs of moving trading systems onto the web.
