Weir Group's FD nets £300,000 salary

Chris Rickard, the finance director of Weir Group, earned £304,521 during his first year with the company.

Weir Group FD Chris Rickard took home £304,521 in 2004 – his first year with the engineering company.

Rickard, the company’s second-highest paid director after chief executive Mark Selway, received a basic salary of £304,207 and £314 in benefits.

Weir Group’s turnover for 2004 was up 6.8% to £847.6m. Pre-tax profit, before goodwill and exceptionals, was also up, climbing 2.8% to £58.3m.
