Gambling and leisure group Rank, which delisted from Nasdaq last Friday, has
appointed Peter Gill as group FD.
Gill previously served as group FD of Xansa and has held senior financial
roles in the publishing industry, with Dorling Kindersley and Pearson.
Rank announced last week that it would delist from Nasdaq and attempt to
deregister from the SEC, due to the cost and requirements of meeting US
reporting and compliance regulations.
‘Rank’s board believe that the burden and expense of complying with SEC
reporting and other applicable US obligations is out of proportion to the
benefits obtained by the company and its shareholders as a whole,’ the group
said in a statement.
