    HSBC’s Flint appointed to ASB

    HSBC's Flint appointed to ASB

    HSBC Holdings' group financial director Douglas Flint was today made a member of the Accounting Standards Board.

    The post will last for three years from today and brings the ASB’s membership back to nine voting members.

    Previously Flint has worked for KPMG, where he became a partner in 1988 specialising in banking, multinational financial reporting, treasury and securities trading operations, group reorganisations and litigation support.

    He joined HSBC in 1995 and has been a member of the ASB’s Urgent Issues Task Force since 1997 which he will now leave.
