Beever digs in as NED at Premier Foods

KPMG advisory board member takes on non-executive role at FTSE 250 company, which includes a seat on its audit committee.
David Beever has taken up a non-exec role at Premier Foods, the company
announced this morning.
Beever will take a seat on the audit committee of
the
company,which owns and produces well-know brands including Paxo stuffing and
Saxa table salt.
Beever is a member of the KPMG Advisory Board, having spent 10 years as
chairman of KPMG corporate finance.
In the wake of a major acquisition last year,
Premier
Foods said: ‘The background and experience of David [and two other new
appointees] is especially relevant to the company as we move ahead during this
exciting period of transformation.’
Beever counts a NED role at JJB Sports as another of his current
responsibilities, and until December 2007 he was also deputy chairman of London
and Continental Railways.
