Frenzied knife attack leaves leading Scottish accountant in serious but stable condition
A prominent Scottish accountant, Leslie Cumming, 62, has been seriously
injured in a ‘frenzied’ knife attack near his home in Murrayfield, Edinburgh.
Cumming, the chief accountant of the Law Society in Scotland, was in a
serious but stable condition in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary yesterday after being
stabbed in the back, face, head and chest as he parked his Jaguar in a private
garage.
The balaclava-wearing attacker ran off when Cumming defended himself from the
seemingly unprovoked attack.
