New finance director at Jarvis

Rail contractor Jarvis this week appointed Robert Kendall as finance director for the group.

Last year Jarvis lost a High Court battle with former auditor Pricewaterhouse Cooopers over audit fees. The road and rail infrastructure group brought the case to dispute a statement PwC lodged with Companies House in March when it resigned as auditor.

Chartered accountant Kendall, who trained with KPMG, had effectively been carrying out the FD function since last June, when the then FD Henry Lafferty was promoted.
