Europe’s leading software and services event for the accounting and finance
community takes place at the NEC (Hall 18) Birmingham, from 12-13 October 2005.
This year we have about 70 leading software and solution providers all under
one roof – many of whom will be showcasing new products and services for the
first time at the event. New exhibitors on board for this year include:
Touchstone, Inovar, Intellexis, Business Objects, Northgate Information Systems
As always, our free educational programme aims to address the key issues
facing you on a day-to-day basis. Speakers from independent organisations such
as ACCA, BASDA, Cranfield School of Management and the ICAEW are among those who
will be sharing their expertise.
Issues under discussion range from rolling forecasting, accounting standards
for SMEs, and the paperless office, to the handling of corporate tax and VAT.
There will also be two panel discussions. The first, chaired by Accountancy
Age editor, Damian Wild, looks at outsourcing the finance function, while
Financial Director’s editor, Andrew Sawers, leads the second, titled ‘Can
software be accounted for?’ In addition, you can hear real-life implementation
success stories from the likes of Baldor UK, Johnson Publishing, 3i, QPC and
Don’t forget, you can also see new products and services in action throughout
the show in the free exhibitor seminar sessions taking place on the showfloor.
Once again, Softworld is co-located with sister events Softworld HR &
Payroll and Business Performance & Project Management (BPPM) and your badge
will provide a free crossover between all three.
Going forward, Softworld is changing for next year with the launch of an
annual all-encompassing annual showcase taking place at the NEC, Birmingham from
18-19 October 2006. The well established Softworld events: HR & Payroll,
Accounting & Finance, BPPM and a new inaugural Business Intelligence event,
will together form Total Business Solutions.
This national showcase, combining established, successful exhibition brands,
will create a powerful offering through both scale and focus.
However, in between the live events taking place, Softworld Interactive –
Accounting & Finance will serve the marketplace. Running 365 days per year,
Softworld Interactive is the virtual exhibition for all your accounting software
and financial solutions needs.
I hope that you have an enjoyable and productive day at Softworld Accounting
