Winner: Nick Perrott
In 25 years of service to the South Devon Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust,
Nick Perrott has demonstrated ‘exceptional loyalty, commitment as well as an
absolute passion for delivering excellence in all that he does’.
Perrott is the accountant at the trust, and was nominated for his sustained
contribution and dedication over his long years of service.
Director Joe Teape says that Perrott is an ambassador for AAT. Not only does
he attend many local AAT events, Teape says: ‘[He] is a rare person who you see
in the staff restaurant reading a professional journal!’
In his work at the trust there have never been any material audit issues and
his work is always of the highest standards.
‘This nomination is being made for sustained contribution and dedication over
a significant period with no complaint, and outstanding results. I can honestly
say that through his work Nick has made a substantial contribution to the
patients of South Devon and has also maximised the use of resources for their
care,’ adds Teape.
He is also praised for his imaginative approach. ‘In his spare time he takes
part in amateur dramatics, so, for a financial accountant, he also has the rare
talent of having a wide and varied imagination which shines through his
professional and personal life,’ says Teape.
Nick’s work was instrumental when the trust became an NHS Foundation Trust
too. His advice was invaluable, Teape says, ‘often convincing our own auditors
that his approach is the right one’.
‘He is informed, technically sound, the best colleague and absolutely
committed and devoted to his employer and the aims and objectives of the
hospital in terms of the delivery of first-class patient care.
‘He is a genuine leader, but very modest and quiet also.’
