IT SEEMS like Hollywood has exhausted its once endless supply of superhero and Bruce Willis-action flicks and started to make films on a topic much more exciting – accountants.
With the accountancy world counting down the days until they can see Batman V Superman star Ben Affleck portray an accountant in a film aptly named – you guessed it, The Accountant, Warner Bros is whetting our appetite with an action/comedy focussing on a mild-mannered accountant.
Central Intelligence, starring globetrotting US comedian Kevin Hart and everyone’s favourite muscleman Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, centres on a CIA agent (Johnson) who enlists the help of former best friend and accountant (Hart) to help foil an end-of-the-world type scenario. We’re just hoping that Hart studied for all his accountancy qualifications to really get into the character before he started shooting.
