BATMAN thespian Ben Affleck and soon-to-be star of new action thriller The Accountant has begun filming on the streets of Atlanta, Georgia.
Affleck, number 36 in this year’s Accountancy Age Financial Power List, will star in the Warner Brothers flick about and a mild-mannered accountant who immerses himself in the twin delights of tax and audit by day and the murkier but equally exciting world of being a high-class assassin by night.
The all-action thriller which also stars Jeffrey Tambor, Anna Kendrick and Jon Bernthal had been in limbo for years, with Will Smith once slated to star and Sony lined up to produce, but that fell through because the studio could not “assemble the right package.”
Anyone reading this in the Atlanta area fancying themselves as a very minor star of the silver screen should get in touch with the producers as they are reportedly casting for extras in the film, specifically Italian-American and Middle Eastern men.
