Mock the conference

A EUROPEAN COMMISSION conference on financial reporting and auditing is
probably not everyone’s idea of a good laugh, but speakers at first day of
the Brussels talkfest seemed eager to crack accounting-related jokes.
Rather like a bizarre version of BBC’s Mock the Week themed around IFRS,
conference speakers were joshing and bantering like comedy-panel veterans.
Did you hear the one about fair value?
