Amsterdam newspaper Het Harpool reports that the Dutch government is cracking down on the city’s sex workers. Although prostitution was legalised more than a decade ago, the tax service has largely left the oldest profession alone, but no longer.

As Dutch tax service spokesman Janneke Verheggen told the Guardian: “We began at the larger places, the brothels, so now we’re moving on to the window landlords and ‘the ladies’.” We bet you are, Janneke… nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
