Creative accountants wanted

It has taken some time for TS to get used to this new post-Enron world of accountancy, all the little backhanders we used to get have dried up completely, meaning we actually have to do some work for a living.

Nevertheless we’ve eventually managed to acknowledge the new world order, unlike some people. TS was rather surprised to see a news release land on our desk recently from a recruitment agency with the title ‘Accountancy firms need to be more creative’.

Surely that was what got accountants into this bother in the first place!

As it happens that agency is talking about ‘thinking outside the box’ when it comes to hiring marketing staff. But then again, perhaps the agency should think a little harder about its own marketing activities, and what it is trying to say with them, before it starts spouting off advice to others.
