Bacon sarnies? The recession must be nearly over.

TS receives many an invitation to conferences and events, which promise tea, coffee and a smattering of digestives. However, we were particularly struck by one invite sent on behalf of a business intelligence firm for a brunch being held on the South Bank last week. Not only did it come with the promise of the unveiling of new mid-market research, networking with key industry heavyweights and information management advice, but a lure we haven’t been privy to in some time. The hook? Full taxi-service and bacon sarnies. If this is a sign those green shoots are truly beginning to sprout, we’ll be ditching the diet and fitness regime .
