Sausages. And tax.
The good folk of Lincolnshire have introduced a sausage tax to fund a campaign to secured protected status for its bangers, according to the Beeb.
The Lincolnshire Sausage Association wants to gain Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) for the region, so only sizzlers made using the correct recipe in the county can be called Lincolnshire sausages.
Butchers are charging an extra five pence to help fund the campaign.
TS hopes they’re using Sage software to keep track of the funds.
