Eligible ACCA students will be able to gain both a professional qualification and an undergraduate degree in a single streamlined route from 2026.
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the University of London have announced the launch of a new integrated undergraduate programme, offering students the chance to earn a BSc (Hons) in Professional Accountancy while progressing toward ACCA membership.
The new degree will be available from March 2026, with applications opening in December 2025. It is aimed at ACCA students, affiliates, and members who have completed at least seven Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills exams.
Successful applicants will undertake two University of London modules—aligned to ACCA’s Performance Management and Financial Management papers—plus a Project module designed to prepare them for the Strategic Professional stage.
The programme builds on the existing ACCA–University of London collaboration, which began in 2015 and led to the launch of a Master’s in Professional Accountancy.
That postgraduate route allowed ACCA members and affiliates to convert their professional qualification into credit towards a university degree.
The BSc is now set to offer a similar opportunity at undergraduate level.
“Choosing between a professional and an academic qualification is a significant dilemma for many students. This new route offers a great career launchpad for those who want to do both at the same time,” said Alan Hatfield, ACCA’s Executive Director – Content, Quality and Innovation.
“University of London is a world-renowned university with a global reach and values that mirror ours. This new route supports our efforts to increase inclusion and opportunity in the accountancy profession, and to bridge the accountancy skills gap that exists in many countries.”
Dr Sky Zheng, Executive Director of University of London Worldwide, said the partnership would enable students to “gain both credentials simultaneously” and improve their career prospects in accountancy.
“We have a longstanding commitment to innovating the way we provide accessible, quality, distance education to students around the world,” said Zheng.
“This BSc programme, delivered in collaboration with ACCA, gives students the best of both worlds… We look forward to helping develop the next generation of qualified professionals who can meet the evolving demands of the business world.”

Both organisations cited shared values and a commitment to accessibility and social impact as a basis for the expanded partnership.
