(July 14) Accounting tech developer Timworks has announced the release of a messaging tool for accountants to communicate with their clients. The app will integrate with other popular tools such as Xero, Dext, AutoEntry and Datamolino, and will soon extend to others including QuickBooks Online and Sage.
(July 20) Accounting tech provider Sage and software firm Microsoft have announced an expansion to their ongoing partnership. The move includes plans to integrate Microsoft Business Products, including Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams, as embedded services in Sage products and the Sage Digital Network.
(July 20) Global small business platform Xero has announced the launch of Xero Go – a new mobile app designed to help UK sole traders digitise their financial admin. According to Xero, the “freemium” style app will provide a more cost-effective way for freelance workers to access accounting software.
(July 25) The UK government’s Help to Grow scheme, which was designed to enable businesses to access discounted software, has been almost tripled in reach. Originally launched in January for businesses with five employees or more, the scheme is now available to all businesses with at least one employee. The latest update has also seen eCommerce software added to the scheme.
