On October 5, Sage announced its acquisition of GoProposal – a pricing, proposal and engagement letter automation solution. The move will help accountants prepare their small business clients for the forthcoming Making Tax Digital for VAT, Income Tax and Self-Assessment reporting.
Audit Sight, an audit software startup founded by two former PwC veterans, has raised $2.5m in seed funding to take its platform to market. Announced on October 22, the funding will allow the company to complete key hires and launch its first two software modules before the end of 2021.
On October 28, climate management and accounting platform Persefoni announced that it has secured $101m in its Series B funding round. The self-proclaimed “ERP for carbon data” claims this to be the largest ever financing round for a SaaS climate tech company.
Accounting, consulting and technology firm Crowe announced on October 28 that it has acquired Spark.Orange, a technology and services firm specialising in Salesforce cloud solutions. According to Crowe CEO Mark Baer, the acquisition serves as a “strategic addition” to the firm’s consulting cloud platform offerings.
