Mazars appoints Nigel Layton as Partner

Mazars, the international accountancy and advisory firm, has appointed Nigel Layton as Partner in its Forensic and Investigation Services practice in London.

Layton worked at KPMG, where he led the Corporates Forensic team whilst running anti-bribery and corruption investigations, fraud management, third party due diligence and corporate intelligence work in London. He also led KPMG’s forensic business in Russia and the CIS.

Layton has over 25 years of experience in conducting fraud, anti-bribery and corruption, targeted due diligence, and other investigations on a global scale.

The new Partner at Mazars will focus on establishing and growing a specialist investigations unit within the broader Forensic and Investigation Services (FIS) team.

James Gilbey, Mazars UK Head of Forensic and Investigation Services, said: “This is a great opportunity for Mazars to expand our offering in the investigations market.

“Coupled with recent investments in forensic technology, and our unique international footprint, we are now well positioned to offer a dedicated and bespoke investigation service to our clients.”
