Podcast: Inside Accountancy Episode 3 – Accounting for your freelance clients

In Episode 3 of Inside Accountancy, Accountancy Age reporter Shannon Moyer talks to Richard Hepburn of Gorilla Accounting about IR35, digital solutions, and the key considerations of providing accounting to freelancers.

Hepburn has worked in the industry for several years as an ACCA and AAT qualified accountant, and is currently an operations manager at Gorilla.

With experience providing accountancy to freelancers, LTDs, and even Instagram influencers, Hepburn talks about the unique set of challenges that come with each client, and how to stay ahead of the game with digital services.

Later on, the controversial IR35 is discussed, and Hepburn provides an explanation of what accountants should be concerned about—and what they shouldn’t be worrying their clients about.
