Deloitte announces changes to its People & Purpose leadership team

Deloitte has appointed Sharron Pamplin as the partner for human resources in the UK. Pamplin joins the firm from Atkins, where she was HR director for UK & Europe.

Pamplin has held HR director roles at Atkins, Hays plc and LV= and has 30 years of leadership experience in consulting, business and HR roles. Pamplin has a strong consulting background with roles at PA Consulting and Mercer where she led business transformation, talent and reward programmes for both public and private sectors in the UK and globally.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Deloitte at this pivotal time for the firm,” said Pamplin. “As a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD my passion is championing better work and working lives,” she added.

“I’m excited about the future of work and I think it’s imperative that we help encourage our people to positively embrace technology and innovation, help them understand the benefits of new ways of working, and provide them with the skills and confidence to be successful.

“My goal is to give Deloitte’s HR team the opportunity to be truly part of the business, solving problems together, delivering transformational change and ensuring people have an amazing career.”

Pamplin is a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee for a charity and a member of the CBI’s employment and skills board.

Pamplin will report to Dimple Agarwal, Deloitte’s new deputy CEO and managing partner for People and Purpose. Agarwal was previously global leader for organisational transformation at Deloitte and she has over 24 years’ experience in the professional services industry.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Sharron to Deloitte,” said Dimple Agarwal. “Her wealth of expertise and experience in HR will help our firm reinforce its focus on culture and our purpose of making a positive impact on clients, our people and wider society.”

Deloitte’s recent millennial research showed us how critical it is that businesses work harder to retain the demographic talent by understanding their needs. We remain committed to our respect, diversity and inclusion initiatives, embedding a culture that engages our people and provides them with fulfilling experiences.”
