CogitalGroup and its London division Blick Rothenberg have announced the acquisition of Westleton Drake, a specialist private client tax practice.
The acquisition comes as Blick Rothenberg presses ahead with its growth and acquisition strategy. The move also forms part of CogitalGroup’s plans to “build a technology driven, international advisory business”, according to executive chairman John Connolly.
Of the acquisition, Connolly said: “I am delighted to welcome our new colleagues into our group. Westleton Drake’s client base complements Blick Rothenberg’s services to global private clients as well as individuals working abroad on a temporary basis. The acquisition builds on Blick Rothenberg’s ability to support US businesses and their employees expanding into the UK and beyond, which is a core historic strength of Blick Rothenberg. This acquisition is part of Blick Rothenberg’s growth and acquisition strategy and is another step forward for CogitalGroup and its plans to build a technology driven, international advisory business and strengthens the group’s presence in the entrepreneurial business sector.”
CEO of Blick Rothenberg Nilesh Shah added: “We are delighted to have acquired Westleton Drake. They have an outstanding reputation in their field and are a perfect fit. It is another step in our ambition to build a high quality business focusing on domestic and international entrepreneurial businesses and their owners.”
Daniel Hyde, founder of Westleton Drake, said: “We have worked hard to develop our practice reputation and in the CogitalGroup and Blick Rothenberg we have found a company with a shared culture of providing a first class client led experience. I am in no doubt that our combined strength will allow us to continue to improve and diversify the quality and range of the advice we provide to new and existing clients.”
