KPMG UK has promoted 42 partners and 132 directors.
The promotions were distributed across a range of sectors – 24% in consulting; 23% in audit; 18% in tax; 18% in deal advisory and 17% in sales and business services functions.
Bill Michael, chairman and senior partner of KPMG UK, said: “Our market leading regional business continues to go from strength to strength and we expect this to continue as the economy begins to rebalance away from London.”
“Consequently 30% of our new partners and directors are based in offices outside the capital to meet growing demand from our clients.”
Commenting on diversity, Michael added: “This year 33% of those promoted to director and 29% of those promoted to partner were women. I am committed to retaining and promoting more diverse talent to senior roles in the firm.”
“Our targeted sponsorship, leadership and talent programmes will play a key role in the development of our leaders of the future.”
KPMG has 22 offices across the UK, with approximately 13,500 partners and staff. The Big Four firm also recently appointed a new global head of insolvency.
