Specialist VAT service provider joins MHA

MHA Mtaxco has become the latest firm to join the invitation-only MHA Association of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers

MHA Mtaxco has become the latest firm to join the invitation-only MHA Association of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers.

Manchester-based MHA Mtaxco specialises in complex VAT and commercial matters and is the ninth firm – and first specialist VAT service provider – to join MHA, which counts 50 offices across the UK. Together, the group has a combined turnover of £130m, and is the UK member of Baker Tilly International, the ninth largest international accounting network in the world.

The addition of the firm complements the specialist capabilities already within the network, the association said, especially as it has expertise in dealing with specialist sector and international VAT obligations.

Rakesh Shaunak, MHA Chairman, commented: “MHA Mtaxco joining the association represents a milestone in the development of our national service footprint. Being able to offer expert advice and support in specialist areas such as VAT is a strategic priority, enabling us to build our business across the UK and further support the needs of existing MHA clients.”

Jonathan Main, managing partner of MHA Mtaxco, added: “I am honoured that our firm has been accepted as the newest member of the MHA association and the first specialist provider of VAT services. There is significant need for support in this complex area, providing an opportunity for growth and to enhance MHA’s VAT services throughout the UK and internationally. I look forward to a highly productive relationship in the coming years.”

MHA MacIntyre Hudson recently placed in 16th position in the Top 50+50 Accountancy Firms 2017. Earlier this month, made a new partner promotion.
