Smith & Williamson appoints new partner

Smith & Williamson has appointed a new partner to its restructuring and recovery services team.

Richard Lewis joins the Bristol office from Grant Thornton. With 20 years’ experience as a business restructuring specialist, he has also previously worked for two of the Big Four accountancy firms.

Lewis said: “I am extremely pleased to have joined Smith & Williamson which has a growing reputation for the breadth and depth of services and senior-level expertise it is able to offer businesses across the South West from its office in central Bristol, supported by colleagues based in Cheltenham and Salisbury.

“I enjoy working with businesses of all sizes, from small entities to large corporates. Although I am often appointed to deal with insolvencies, my primary focus is to work with owners, boards and other stakeholders to preserve the value within their business and help them to consider all the options, which might include restructuring, refinancing or a sale.”
