CARTER BACKER WINTER (CBW) has acquired Edwards Financial Services, expanding its financial planning department.
The Edwards team moved across to the London-based firm, with director Chris Clayton becoming a partner of CBW.
Peter Winter (pictured), managing partner, CBW, said: “We are delighted to secure the services of Chris and his experienced team, who have been at Edwards for close to three decades. We welcome their wealth of experience, knowledge and technical skills to our firm.”
Edwards Financial Services was formed in 1986, based in Harrow, and offered clients their professional advice on life insurance, investments, pension and retirement planning. Their assets under management surpassed £50m, for the year ending 2015/16.
Chris Clayton, a CII chartered financial planner and director of financial planning at CBW, added: “Edwards was growing as a firm and we wanted to take the next big step. This involved a number of options, but we liked CBW because it shared our values. Our clients are all on board with the move.”
CBW, which has 18 partners, acquired Edwards Financial Services for an undisclosed sum.
