Mazars South Africa chairman Hilton Saven elected new chairman of Praxity
HILTON SAVEN has been elected the new chairman of Praxity – the world’s largest alliance of independent accounting firms – replacing Rick Anderson whose three-year tenure finishes at the end of the year.
The Mazars South Africa chairman was previously Praxity vice-chair and is in his third term as governing council member for Africa and the Middle East. He takes office from 1 January 2016 and is supported in his role by vice-chair and governing council member Gordon Krater, managing partner at Plante Moran in the US.
Hilton will be leading Praxity into its tenth year; during this time the alliance has grown its representation to 102 countries, working with more than 2,800 partners and over 27,000 independent professionals.
“Although I have some big shoes to fill, I look forward to helping Praxity fulfil its mission to be the most advanced alliance of strong, like-minded, independent accounting and allied services firms that deliver unrivalled client service and quality solutions globally,” Hilton said.
