Public sector accounting body to take on three-year tuition contract
PUBLIC sector accounting body CIPFA has won a contract with the NHS Wales Finance Academy to exclusively provide tuition to graduates, it has been confirmed.
As part of the three-year contract, CIPFA will provide classroom-based training in Cardiff to eight participants who will be placed across different NHS organisations in Wales.
The recruitment process begins in November 2015 with successful applicants starting in September 2016. At the end of the training scheme, participants are expected to become fully qualified CIPFA accountants.
CIPFA CEO Rob Whiteman said: “Both CIPFA and NHS Wales share common goals in driving excellence in financial management to improve services for communities while tackling budget pressures.
“The institute works tirelessly to support and develop its students, so that they can go on to have meaningful careers in public services.”
