Top 20 firm merges Winchester practice, as it looks to leverage 'the cloud'
TOP 20 firm Wilkins Kennedy has merged Winchester practice FBR into its operations.
FBR, which has a specialism in cloud services and operates with two directors and 11 employees, is now part of the firm.
Ian Talbot, managing partner of Wilkins Kennedy’s Winchester and Romsey offices, said: “The merger will allow us to expand further on current offerings, particularly in the cloud accounting sector and the use of software such as Xero, as the new members of the team will be able to provide additional expertise. We look forward to having them on board.”
Richard Harvey, director at FBR Accounting, said the firms were a “good match in terms of business ethos, as both companies have a key focus on client delivery and excellent customer service”.
“The merger will keep that promise, as we will now be able to offer clients wider and more specialist support.”
Wilkins Kennedy is ranked 19 in the Accountancy Age Top 50+50 Survey of firms, sponsored by Wolters Kluwer. It posted £3.6m in fees for the y/e April 2014.
