CITY-BASED accountancy practice Gabelle has bought ICAEW member Howard Kenton’s business.
The deal marks the latest stage of its ongoing expansion plans as the firm continues to grow its tax services offering.
Howard Kenton has provided tax support and advice to a range of private clients and owner managed businesses for over 30 years. He joins the firm as a consultant.
Commenting on the acquisition, Paula Tallon, managing partner at Gabelle, said: “The acquisition of Howard’s business is part of the continued growth of our private client tax offering and we welcome Howard into the Gabelle team”.
Kenton said: “I am delighted that I have been able to find a successor that is ideally placed to build on the business which has been a big part of my life for the past 30 years. I look forward to working with the team at Gabelle in taking this business forward.”
Gabelle made its first acquisition with Matthew Hutton’s tax practice in September 2013.
In February 2014, former KPMG partner Caroline Fleet was been made head of property tax at Gabelle.
