Simon Barker take partner role in UHY Hacker Young's London business advisory services team
UHY HACKER YOUNG has appointed Simon Barker as a partner in its London business advisory services team.
Formerly partner at KPMG, Barker has more than 20 years’ experience providing outsourcing, financial reporting and audit services and advice to companies, primarily in the food and drink, retail and consumer brands, airline, pharmaceutical and business services sectors.
He has also worked as a finance consultant to businesses and charities such as Mind and Startup Direct, as well as taking up an interim practice development position with accountancy firm Sayers Butterworth.
London office managing partner Ladislav Hornan (pictured) at UHY Hacker Young said: “Simon has an impressive expertise in guiding and supporting firms of all sizes across a whole host of sectors on a wide range of accounting and commercial issues.

UHY Hacker Young is placed 16 in the Accountancy Age Top 50+50 survey of firms, with £50m in fee income for the y/e April 2013.
