THREE senior appointments have been made at Top 70 firm BKL.
The promotions of Jason Appel and Doug Sinclair to partner and Philip Jahn to senior manager follow the recent recruitment of Lee Brook and Geraint Jones.
Appel joined as a trainee accountant in 2002 before rising through the ranks. Sinclair joined as head of tax investigations in 2012 after four years at Crowe Clark Whitehill. Jahn started his accounting career nine years ago as a trainee.
BKL’s managing partner Jeff Hartstone commented “we are delighted to continue to promote from within, alongside recruiting new team members, to support our ambitious growth plans.”
The north London firm rebranded from Berg Kaprow Lewis last September accompanied with the strapline “Delivering. Challenging. Thinking.”
It posted £8.8m in fees for the y/e 31 March 2014, up 10% on the previous year, according to the Accountancy Age Top 50+50 Survey of firms.
