AN INDEPENDENTLY-PRODUCED corporation tax programme by Sage is now operational and in use by around 200 existing clients which had previously used its licenced Thomson Reuters corporation tax software, Accountancy Age has learned.
In September, it was announced the licence and distribution agreement for a corporation tax programme between Thomson Reuters and Sage had been terminated.
Under the bonnet, Sage’s latest corporation tax offering – aptly named Sage Corporation Tax – bears no relation to the Powered by ONESOURCE product that went before it, licenced from Thomson Reuters’ Digita.
The new desktop product’s functionality includes the completion of the CT600E charities schedule (a form for charities regulation) ; the ability to deal with multiple trades and; the inclusion of enhanced reporting and administration.
Sage is providing a support package to all existing customers, comprising a series of customer events throughout the UK, telephone consultations, a telephone support line, training webinars, transition support packs and assistance with installations.
While fully operational and available to new clients, Sage intends to promote and officially launch the programme early next year, with the intention of providing all its tax suite via the cloud by the end of 2015.
