T5 shopfitters call in KPMG administrators

Administrators have made all 48 staff redundant following cash flow problems at Jarose Woodworking

SHOPFITTERS to Heathrow’s Terminal 5 have called in administrators from KPMG.

Howard Smith and Mark Firmin (pictured), both from KPMG, were appointed joint administrators to Jarose Woodworking, which is based in Leeds and employs about 48 people.

The administrators were appointed on 31 January and continued to operate the business in order to complete outstanding work in progress. However, a statement from the administrators has said that operations have now ceased and all employees have been made redundant.

Smith, joint administrator and restructuring associate partner at KPMG, said: “Declining sales at Jarose Woodworking significantly impacted cash flow and the business’ ability to meet its liabilities.

“The joint administrators are exploring options to realise the best results for the company’s creditors.”

Jarose fitted shops in the retail sector, such as BHS, Thomas Pink, and Molton Brown, as well as restaurants and bars such as Domino’s Pizza, Chiquito’s and Garfunkels.
