Crowe Clark Whitehill boosts its finance function for overseas clients with the recruitment of five new staff members
FIVE NEW EMPLOYEES have been recruited into Crowe Clark Whitehill’s (CCW) business solutions team
Based at the firm’s Cheltenham office, the team provides a comprehensive back-office accountancy and finance function for overseas companies. It has generated £2m in fee income since its establishment three years ago.
The portfolio of clients assisted by the business solutions team is largely made up of technology and new media businesses. They are based predominantly in the US, in locations such as Boston, New York and Silicon Valley, where the firm has established its own satellite office.
The service also assists British firms trading in other international markets, such as China and the Middle East.
The new appointments include a manager role, three senior assistants, and a payroll administrator. Together they will provide sales, payroll, purchase ledger, HR and other accounting services.
Partner Richard Austin, who currently heads up the unit, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be welcoming five new members of staff to support our rapid growth within the business solutions team at Crowe Clark Whitehill.
“Three years ago we had very few international clients in the Cheltenham office; today we are effectively representing the full accounts department function for clients all over the world. ‘Business solutions’ provides an extension of a home country’s finance team – we are seen as part of the family.”
