IPA announces FRP partner is new president
FRP Advisory partner Charles Turner takes presidency and chairman role at Insolvency Practitioners Association
THE INSOLVENCY PRACTITIONERS ASSOCIATION has announced that Charles Turner will become its new president and chairman of the board for 12 months.
Turner (pictured) is currently an FRP Advisory partner who works primarily out of the firm’s Bristol and London offices. He focuses on mid-market restructuring and insolvency cases.
He replaces layer Edward Bible from Brethertons who steps down as president. Turner will be succeeded by Begbies Traynor national head of restructuring and insolvency partner Mark Fry in April 2014.
“The market in which insolvency practitioners operate has evolved and business practices have changed, whether in dealing with the financial distress of corporate entities or private consumers. This requires the IPA, as a leading regulator, to be responsive to the needs of the profession and the clients it serves.
“I look forward to leading the IPA at an exciting time in meeting some of these challenges as well as in launching some important new products and services for members.”
